The Need for Personal Growth

More than ever we are in need of Personal Growth on a global level. We are in dire straits because of a general worldwide lack of knowledge and awareness of what’s possible when we create extraordinary lives for ourselves and each other. We can all contribute to the one world community and make the planet a bet ter place. The norm has been people who spread negative news, promote fast food and pharmaceutical concoctions rather than address the cause of real life issues.

We have been trained, to varying degrees, to obey authority, work hard, and to speak when called on. The educational system instills an early model for learning that conditions our behavior as adults. Some of you may be going through life, day-in and day-out, just working hard, watching TV, eating junk food, and falling into bed at night. You may be living on autopilot rather than directing your energies and living life to its fullest.

Think about it: You are the producer, director, and actor of the movie called your life. To live an outstanding life, which includes doing what you love and being all you can be, you need to be proactive and deliberate on designing your destiny.

Today’s world demands that powerful people step up and take a stand for what’s important. Together we can challenge systems that no longer serve us and create new structures that will be designed more effectively to set us up for success.

The quality of our lives depends on us and how we choose to live. The choices we make ultimately shape our lives and many of us are waking up to this fact. With movies such as What The Bleep Do We Know!?™ and The Secret, people are becoming aware that there is more to life than what meets the eye. The Power of Personal Growth offers you significant awareness and knowledge so you can make empowering choices to positively impact your life.

Believe Your Soul Mate is Out There

Believing that your soul mate is out there is critical to the preparation of manifesting him or her into your life. The basic law of attraction states that you will attract to you those things that match your state of belief.

I believe that the Universe is always mirroring back to us our beliefs about ourselves and the world. If we believe the world is a loving and friendly place, then most of the time that will be our experience. If we believe the world is a chaotic, stressful and fearful place, then that becomes our reality. So, believing and knowing that your soul mate is out there is part of the formula for manifestation. If you do not yet believe with 100% certainty that your soul mate is out there, let’s begin to look for things that will make a believer out of you.

Do you believe you are loveable? If you are reading this then I am certain you are loveable. Why? Because, loveable people want more love in their lives. But, if you believe you are not loveable, I’m going to ask you to challenge that belief. Take a moment to identify at least three (or more) lovable traits that you possess, such as being generous, compassionate, friendly, kind, considerate, thoughtful, interesting, funny, etc. Write these down and then memorize them. You will be using them shortly for your treasure map.

I know many very attractive, successful single people who have some very negative, limiting beliefs when it comes to finding their soul mate.

The list usually goes something like this:
I’m too old.
I’m too fat.
I’m too damaged.
I have too much baggage.
I am too successful.
I am not successful enough.
All the good ones are taken.
Nobody I want wants me.

These are just knee-jerk excuses to keep you stuck. There is plenty of evidence that love is available to everyone regardless of age, weight or income or any other feeble excuse. What if I told you that it’s not your job to know HOW your soul mate is going to appear? It’s only your job to be ready, willing and open to love.

You don’t really know where air or water comes from but you totally believe that they are there for you. As a human being you know that air and water are your divine right. You know that no matter what mistakes you have made in the past, you are still going to wake up every day and have access to air and water. The same is true for love. It’s there for you. It’s always been there for you. You just need to remember the love that you are and once you do, the Universe will deliver to you the perfect soul mate. There is nothing for you to do, there is only a way for you to BE.

A 22,000 Mile Jog For Cancer

If you thought the notion of jogging for years on end was restricted to the storyline of Forrest Gump, think again. A British woman named Rosie Swale-Pope is currently in her fourth year of attempting to run around the world. Rosie's journey started on her 57th birthday, October 2, 2003, from her home in Wales. This run is not without a purpose. In 2002, Rosie's husband Clive died of prostate cancer. Had her husband's cancer been spotted earlier, he may still be alive today.

Rosie is using the attention she's received from this long-trek, 22,000 miles so far, to promote early cancer screenings for both men and women. Throughout the entire run, Rosie has been harnessed to a 260 pound tent on wheels. She sleeps in this tent most nights after pulling it for an average of 15 miles per day.

It took Rosie close to two years to reach eastern Russia where she crossed over into Alaska in September of 2005. Since then, she has ran through Canada, re-entered the United States in Minnesota, and, according to her website (RosieAroundTheWorld.co.uk), is currently in New Jersey. She plans on continuing to Labrador, Canada, where she will cross the Atlantic to return home - thus ending the run. This leaves just about 2,000 miles left on her impressive jog.

When the run is complete, Rosie plans on authoring a book that details her around-the-world adventure.

Relaxation Techniques to Combat Stress

With the increased pressures of modern life more and more people find it difficult to switch off and relax at the end of the day. This can lead to sleepless nights which creates further anxiety that can make life feel more unbearable.

Eventually this can create a feeling of being overwhelmed or stressed out. However, there are lifestyle changes that you can make in order to reduce your stress and promote relaxation in your life:

1) Get regular massages
We all know about the reputed benefits of a massage in aiding relaxation of the body and mind. Whilst you could get a partner or close friend to give your shoulders, back or feet a good rub down, to truly feel long-term benefits you should enlist the services of a trained professional to give you regular massages.

Don't think of this as an indulgent treat but rather an essential part of your well-being routine. For as well as relaxing the muscles (and making you feel as chilled out as an Eskimo), the benefits of regular massage include improved blood flow and a boosted immune system.

2) Hang up your phone
When you leave the office you need to be able to switch off from work - and that includes your phone! This is important to do as once your work colleagues get into the habit of being able to contact you at all hours they will. Remember, the phone is there for your convenience, not just the caller's.

3) Compile some chillout tunes
Put together or buy a CD of relaxing music to ease your mind and help you switch off from the outside world. Research has shown that even from the womb relaxing/classical music can be beneficial in promoting well-being.

4) Read a good book
Emily Dickinson wrote, " There is not frigate like a book to take us lands away," which is a great way to sum up the way in which reading a good book can help you to get your mind off your worries - if only for a while.

5) Practice yoga
Yoga is a great way to escape from everything going on around by taking you into your own little world. As well as being a good form of working out, it can help you to build your self esteem and confidence, helping you to bring about a positive change in your life.

6) Drink herbal teas
Herbals teas such as peppermint and chamomile make better options than caffeine-infused drinks such as tea and coffee. The key to helping you to adapt your choice is to try different types until you find flavours which suit you taste buds. Many varieties are now widely supplied at most supermarkets.

7) Eat Right
All too often, and perhaps because of the hype of all the fad diets out there, people underestimate the impact of diet on our health and well-being. Simple steps such as cutting down on caffeine, alcohol and food high in fat or calories can produce beneficial effects such as helping you to feel healthier and less highly strung out or irritable.

8) Work Out
Now we're not talking about hours every day or "going for the burn." If you haven't exercised for a while you will want to take it easy and start off with manageable sessions. As well as the physical benefits of exercise, regular sessions can help to reduce your anxiety levels as "feel good" hormones are released.

9) Breathe
It's just like they say when you have a moment in which you feel you're going to have a meltdown. Take a deep breath and count to ten. Whilst this is a good start, you should aim to set aside time to sit down relax and focus on your breathing to the point that it slows down and feel more in control.

10) Get back to basics
Escape the hustle and bustle of your everyday stresses and strains by getting out to the countryside or a place close to nature. This can often provide the space you need to clear your mind, find focus and perhaps inspiration.

What Is The Meaning Of Life?

An excerpt from, “Why Take a Boat When You Can Walk On Water”?

Throughout time, man has struggled with his own destiny. Where, in the scheme of things does man fit in? What is the human condition and is man accountable for his own conditional state? Is there a God that administers man’s fate? Can man be successful in love and business and still have an intimate relationship with God? Should man be uplifted to the world? Is mankind enslaved to evil? There are so many questions that plagues the mind of man. I remember as a child I used to feel like an orphan, lost and forgotten. I had a wonderful father, mother and two sisters, yet I felt as if I were alone in a foreign place. I would lie on the lawn at night and stare at the heavens, thinking, why am I here, where did I come from, what is my purpose? .As a childish mind would have it, I simply couldn’t see the reasoning behind my being. I felt God had abandon me, and I could not restore our relationship. Over time, I quit seeking God and became infatuated with the world. Even as the world became my reality the question was still in the back of my mind. I could not keep from wondering why and who I was. An awareness began to creep into my mind that added to the feeling of not belonging to the world. I will attempt to stay on course and tell you how I was enlightened and how my experiences may shed some light on you in your search for God. It is my best intention to convey some insight of reason through our shared position in God’s purpose

Please, LORD, Make The Confusion Go Away!

This text is an account of a confused boy turning into a wayward man and his struggle with his own condition and God’s involvement in it. Apparently, there are many questions that go unanswered simply because people do not ask or fear asking the questions in the first place. They fear rejection from their peers and worse they fear the answers to their questions because they don’t want to know their true condition. They see themselves as something, that in most cases, they are not. Sick is sick no matter if you know it or not. You can’t make it go away, so you may as well face it and work on getting well.

But as it is written, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” 1 Corinthians 29

Our relationship to God’s creation is a mystery in our eyes, and God wants it that way because if everything were known, there would be no faith. People simply can’t understand that they are as much a part of the creation as dirt itself. Truly, mankind couldn’t take the full measure of God’s revelation that’s one reason why God protects people from knowing the creation. The fact is; we see hear and feel in narrow ranges. Most colors and sounds are outside of our range of experience. If man could hear and see everything, then God Himself would be revealed, and God said no man hath seen me. He is beyond our comprehension and we are humbled at His presence and fear his mighty power. Even lowly angles instill fear in man when they come into his presence.

And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. Mark 4:11

Ephesians 3:2 if, indeed, ye did hear of the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to me in regard to you, 3 that by revelation He made known to me the secret, according as I wrote before in few words 4 in regard to which ye are able, reading it, to understand my knowledge in the secret of the Christ, 5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit
Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: 10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, 11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: 12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

THE NEVER ENDING CREATION
“And the Creation is Everlasting. “

Gen 9:16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that [is] upon the earth.

God, being timeless, is reveling Himself in his creation. If the creation is an unveiling of God, then, it has to be timeless also. Ever changing, but nevertheless timeless.

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Exodus 3:14

So, if physical man in his limitations, and short duration, is to have an eternal relationship with an eternal God, and God with man, certain protocols must be followed. I will attempt to uncover some of the mysteries that God has placed upon mankind and perhaps help some people understand those protocols better.

Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Romans 16:25

God reveals His mysteries to man in accordance to man’s level of acceptance and willingness to participate with Him and His character. As I have said before, it is not within the comprehension of man to understand that which is outside his physical reality. Man can only function within the limits placed on him by God. God encompasses all things while man, on the other hand, only experiences what God allows within man’s domain.

Mar 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all [these] things are done in parables:

The ability of man to adapted to God’s nature unfolds in his effort to demonstrate his created likeness of God. Kept in darkness, exposed to light, and left to contemplate his own destiny, has left man to his own explorations and resolve. Has Satan turned man’s mind inward in a attempt to mask God’s wrath or is it a matter of man’s arrogance which is part of his own divine nature? The fact is, Satan cannot turn man away from God. Man has to make the decision.

Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie :12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

So, God will give the unrighteous over to his/her own delusions. The thing is, if you chase a rabbet long enough you will catch him. If you turn away from God long enough, He will let you go. Now, that’s just plain sad.

Who is Man, and why was he created in the first place?

And God created man, in His own image and after His own kind. As an extension of Himself like Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Notice, He said, “Let us make man in Our image after our likeness.” This means God made man in accordance to His own nature as an image of His nature. He wasn’t just talking about a mirror image, but man was to have depth in the characteristics of His total being. When Jesus said,’ if you hath seen me, ye have also seen my Father’ was he speaking on our behalf also? If God is the creation He is also the creature and physically known then by its’ image.

John 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Ps 144:3 Jehovah, what is man that Thou knowest him? Son of man, that Thou esteemest him?
Ge 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

But why did God make man?

Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

So, God created the universe and everything in it, for His own pleasure. In doing so, He wanted a creature to converse with. He created an extension of Himself so He may experience man’s consciousness as he went about replenishing the earth, subdue it and have dominion over it. But, why go through all this trouble? Why not make man like the lesser creatures, docile and submissive?

Revelation 4:1Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created,

Ah, so there you have it again, man was created for God’s own pleasure, and to share with God as He went about revealing Himself. Ah Ha! Now it’s starting to make since. What an honor! Helping God to experience His revealing of Himself, WOW! God gave man certain responsibilities and duties so man could develop in complementing His design. God does not need man in His ultimate plan but in order to experience His own handiwork, He elected to actively take part within His creation by making a creature of Himself, like Himself and for Himself. And why man? Because it pleasures Him to do so.

Man (Adam) chose to turn away from God’s instruction in the garden and God’s pleasure turned into disappointment. Adam took a probability and validated its reality For thousands of years man has endured tribulation because of one man’s (Adam’s) disobedience and man’s turning toward self before God.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 13(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

It seems sin was only a probability but was not active until Adam willfully disobeyed God.

So, here mankind is, caught in the sins of their forefathers. And, while trying to reconcile to God for the transgressions of their forefathers, they become mired down in their own disobediences.

While this writing is directed at how far man can go in his relationships, responsibility and abilities . . . it also must deal with opposing issues as well. The question of Christian’s success in worldly matters will come to view later.

God, Creation, Man, Principals and other orders all become intertwined in a net of laws and dispositions in a foundation of actuality. Where Man fits into God’s creation will a focus as we study the driving forces that involve man within the world. Does mankind simply choose to exhibit God through religion, or is religion man’s attempt at regulating self? The early church and to an extent present day churches, use religion to keep man under control. In the early Church, the fear of God kept people subdued, now God is portrayed as Love and man, goes willingly toward his/her own destruction.

Even though Christian’s were given the promise of God and Jesus sealed our fate with his blood, many look to the false promises of the world for satisfaction. The world is the reality of preference because it has been accepted as mankind’s awareness. When a Christian accepts the world as their provider, they also accept the possibility of the evil that it possesses. Evil is no more than a concept until allowed by man. Man is the only creature that can bring the principle of evil into force. Satan cannot bring evil onto man and God won’t. Man has to be the contributor to his own fate.

Earth is that part of creation that is within man’s power and under his dominion. But, it still belongs to God, is under God’s laws and is a gift to man. Earth was not given to Satan, it was entrusted to mankind as its’ caretaker. Satan only reveals principles of evil upon a earthly realm. Heaven, on the other hand, is that part of creation that exclusively belongs to God and only He has dominion over it. Man is invited into it only after he has made reconciliation to God through the blood of Jesus Christ. Man is not capable of entering Heaven on his own, he must show repentance to Jesus Christ and be born as a new person in Jesus, to be accepted, then upon physical death he/she can be resurrected into Heaven.

In Conclusion
Creation responds to the will of God alone. The world cannot find its purpose within itself. This makes a relationship between God and the world essential because all things find their reality in God. God equips all there is, and the world acknowledges His presence in their freely receiving of it. The world centers in God, not because it is illusory, but because it was created as a relationship for God’s pleasure. God is revealing Himself by projecting Himself through His creation, and mankind is an intricate part of His design.

The Major Hurdle For Most Aspiring Dancers

Most people with an ounce of talent in dance will never realise it. There is one hurdle, one major obstacle which will stop most in their tracks. Even the most ambitious and enthusiastic to start with won't be able to pass it. It can discourage the most enthusiastic and make fools out of otherwise cool people. What it is I'm talking about...it's the first dance class.

My word, what a freak show! You'll watch some MTV video, realise you can pull off a few of the moves and that you're pretty good. Then wham, you go to a dance class that seems to be teaching the hardest routine in the world, and wham! It'll knock the balls out of most people from ever going again!

I'd love to say this is an exaggeration but it's not. Most people who walk into a dance studio will only walk through it once. Statistics will back me up. If you watch the first-timers in a dance class, you'll find that half of them you'll never ever see again. Which is a great shame, because a lot of them probably had enough talent to pull off the same routine that frightened the hell out of them...with a bit of practise of course.

Learning to dance is I've found as much to do with the attitude as it is with what you're body can to. Everyone has the same body, the same neurology that can be taught the same things. But it's attitude that makes the difference.

A lot of people who are otherwise comfortable doing most things, who will easily get up and give presentations in meetings, who'll ride the theme park rollercoasters that seem to start on the Moon, will be terrified of being in a room full of people learning to dance. You can try and entice them with all the Diet Coke in the world and they'll still hunch up like a little mouse.

The 2 things that'll sound the death bell for a first-timer are:
1. The worry that comes with looking like a fool
2. Ridiculously high expectations

You see, the thing that most dance studios don’t tell you is that when a dance class is described as 'beginner' it doesn't mean that a beginner can easily cope in the class. It means that once you can pull off the routines at beginner standard you will be at a good level of dancing and can progress to harder classes. So a 'beginner class' for a beginner is actually very hard.

And you certainly shouldn't expect to be pulling it off first time. No one does at their first attempt! So what should a beginner do? Firstly accept that you are in a dance class to learn and yes, you may look like a fool to begin with, but believe me, everyone including the experts in class has been through this experience, and know what it's like.

And secondly, take your time learning and go in with no expectations. Be like a child. If a child learns one new word a day, that's a good day's learning. If you go to dance class and can only do one or two moves, that's a good day's learning too. Because all the learning you do is cumulative and will add up to an impressive skill. If you learn 2 moves a day and do 2 classes a week, that's 4 moves a week and 16 moves a month. In a year that's nearly 200 moves, or 200 different combinations – and that's a lot. SO think of the bigger picture.

Most of all have fun when you're dancing. After all, you should only be doing it if you enjoy it and want to learn badly enough. The more you enjoy it, the more relaxed and calm you'll be and this is the perfect state to learn in, in the warm, humid atmosphere of the dance class.

Realistic New Year’s Resolutions

This is a time where people are really talking about New Year's resolutions, new starts. It's a brand new year, brand new day and they'd really love to break free of some of the old stuff--go into some beautiful new green pastures in their life.

I was at the gym the other morning and of course, the gym this week is busier than it's been all year. But give it a couple of weeks, and it's probably going to be back to normal again. One of the personal trainers came up to me, and thought he was making kind of cordial talk and he said, 'Hey, it's a new year. Do you even remember any of your resolutions?" I said "Well, absolutely, I do" and he said "Well, how many have you all of them yet or forgotten them yet?" and I 'm like "No, I really haven't." But you know that's kind of the current state of affairs.

What a lot of us do, we set those New Year's resolutions and then, if we're not careful we don't check in to see how we're doing until New Year's next year. And so, what I really encourage people to do is find a point of inspiration. You know, we tend to overestimate what we can do in a year and underestimate what we can do in a decade.

You know, so many of us want to turn around, you know states of affairs that we've created over years and years of habits in a nanosecond and it probably isn't going to work. You don't turn a battleship around on a dime. You know, you turn it around over time staying the course and holding steady. So what I would encourage everyone to do is find a program like Science of Success.

This program, as much, if not more, of anything I've ever been exposed to will get you clear, not only of what you're capable of creating, but exactly how to do that. So when you sit down, which I ask you to do in the program and define your vision for your life, come up with something that really inspires you. You know, something that, that makes you enthusiastic because if you, you know, set some kind of goal or vision for your life that is someone else's. It's not going to inspire you, and you're probably going to burn out.

And that's where I find a lot of people who are depressed. You know, a lot of people who are overwhelmed or are not excited about their life. When I begin to talk to them, they're living someone else's life. It's more noble to imperfectly pursue your own passions than to perfectly pursue someone else's.

Looking for Your Life-Partner?

Have you ever wondered what it takes to find the love of your life? Is it your dream to find a life-partner who will love, cherish and adore you? If you’re longing for a soul mate, the Soul Mate Kit will help you prepare to manifest one!

As someone who didn’t meet and marry my soul mate until I was 44, I learned a lot along the way about what does and doesn’t work in the world of love and romance. Finding true love is possible for any one at any age if you’re willing to prepare yourself, on all levels, to become a magnet for love. This wonderful Universe of ours is set up to deliver the people and things we draw to us that are consistent with our personal belief system. If you don’t believe you will ever find the ONE, then guess what, you get to be right. . . you probably won’t.

If, however, you learn to believe that the one is not only out there but is also looking for you, then true love can be yours. My grandmother always told me there’s a lid for every pot. In other words, there is a match -- a perfect partner -- for every person. Even so, I have to admit that there were many, many times in my thirties when I questioned this because I still hadn’t found the lid to my pot.

Then one day something happened that really solidified in me the belief for me that my soul mate was out there . . . somewhere. I was watching Oprah and she had Barbra Streisand on the show. Barbra had recently fallen in love with James Brolin and I remember thinking, “Here is this super-wealthy, ultra famous diva . . . how many men could be a match for her?” And then I realized, if God could find somebody for her then I’ll be a piece of cake! I knew in that moment, with absolute certainty, that if the Universe had the perfect man for Barbra Streisand then my soul mate was definitely out there. I also knew that I needed to prepare myself on every level to magnetize him into my life.
